Description
This is our Front & Rear Camera Kit for The Volvo V40, V60, and XC60 – Model Years ( 2015 to 2018 ) If you require a Rear only kit then please see our other listings. This fully comprehensive plug and play ( no coding required ) kit is for the factory fitted Volvo Sensus System from 2015 or late 2014 onwards. Providing your car has the ‘Globe Symbol’ present on the centre console ( See Photo No. 5 ) This kit will simply plug in at the rear of the radio unit in the dashboard. The kit comes supplied with our low voltage NTSC cameras that on the V40 locates in between the two number plate lamps and on the V60 and XC60 on the marked plastic trim where a factory camera would be located and the front locates on the lower section of the Volvo badge. Once the camera is fitted the image will be displayed on the left of your display screen – leaving a section available to show the parking sensors. If your car has no factory parking sensors – please let us know and we will set up the interface for full screen image. The kit will give you the ‘Dynamic Parking Guidelines’ that move with the steering and show the projected trajectory of the vehicle. The front camera will be displayed on screen as a full screen image for 8 seconds after reverse gear is disengaged or during installation when Dip switch No. 2 on the interface is set to ‘On’ when doing this the front camera is only displayed by pressing the ‘MyCar’ Button for 3 seconds and the image will remain on screen, only being removed by another 1 second press on the ‘MyCar’ button. For automatic gearboxes this is completely plug and play but for manual gearboxes then 1 single wire needs to be connected to the reverse light wire at the rear lamp. The kit is provided with a USB key full of installation photos and PDF fitting instructions to follow and we also offer technical support via Phone, Text, WhatsApp or email. Brilliant piece of kit. Bought this camera and had it fitted by professional auto spark. It is better than most factory fitted items. Reasonable prices and very precise fitting instructions but I couldn’t trust myself to fit it. A great addition to my XC 60. I just wish I had bought the front and rear together. Can’t buy just the front. Pity.

Bought this kit over a year ago and finally got round to fitting it. I swore a lot whilst trying to get the cable through the bulkhead for the front camera, but I did get it. The rest was installed relatively easily. Works great. I note that the unit has an SD card slot, I wonder what that’s for ( EMPIRICAL Reply: SD Card Slot is for Software Updates ) It Would be great if the front camera could double up as a traffic cam, although I have one of those installed already.

All I can do is echo the previous reviews praising the kit which I fitted it to my XC60 in 3 stages. I installed the control box behind the dash first then plugged the cameras in just to make sure everything worked okay, which it did.
Next I installed the rear camera, followed a couple of days later by the front one. As has been said before its fiddly to do especially drilling the edge of the fan housing from inside the passenger compartment to route the lead for the front camera through the bulkhead, but well worth the effort.
I chose the option to control the front camera independently, using the My Car button rather than have it come on automatically for 8 seconds when going from Reverse to Drive. I found that the Nav button also works to control it, which I prefer.

Really good kit, indistinguishable from the factory fitted camera on my sons XC60. As mentioned by others, getting the cable through to the engine bay for the front camera is a pain but well worth the effort. The usb flash drive supplied is full of useful photographs to show how to do it. Only special tools needed was a trim removal kit, which I bought from Machinery Mart for about £12. Fitted over a bank holiday weekend when the car could be left in bits when I needed a break!

This is a fantastic piece of equipment. If your looking for quality engineering at a very affordable price with excellent after service support, then look no further.
This item does exactly what it says on the tin. I installed both front at rear camera and am utilising the instant switch to front camera mode after disengaging reverse gear. The quality of the display is fantastic. When engaging reverse gear you are still provided with the reverse sensor graphics and vehicle steering guidelines, which are spot on. When reverse is de-selected, the front camera is immediately enabled for 8 seconds for those awkward forward manoeuvres. The manner by which it seamlessly integrates into the existing vehicle interface is faultless.
As with all after-marker add-ons, installation is not the simplest as cables need to be routed from the front and back the vehicle interface, although this would apply to any such parking aid, of which I believe there is nothing else like it on the market. However Dougie and the crew provided excellent support through the whole installation process ensuring that I now have a perfectly working parking aid. 5 Stars all round for price, build quality and after service support – Thank you so very much guys.

There’s a fabulous YouTube install video showing a similar product from VolvoTech ( now V-DESIGN ) but their Helpdesk just went to answerphone, the one email I did get back said ‘look at the website’ so I thought someone else better deserves my money & speaking to a friend recommended here. Let me list why you should buy here:
– Before & after sales support. I’m a ‘Southerner’ yet Dougie could not be more knowledgeable & helpful
– Wiring loom. This still needs the original fibre optics moved over, but everything else is not as complex as the competition
– The wiring for all the cameras is very simple yet their image quality is OEM
– The cameras supplied with this kit use the same OEM locations & do not require their own power
– If you have a manual, you’ll need an extra white wire which wires into the GREEN wire with a thin RED stripe in the rear light cluster (This part wasn’t in the instructions but a 1 minute call with Dougie identified & resolved this immediately, as not in instructions
– Installing the front camera is a PITA in an XC60! I found I had to remove the glovebox & slide the wire through the air vent in the engine bay… which sits under all the plastic under the windscreen wipers
HOWEVER… the result is worth all that effort, just make sure you watch the VolvoTech video, will save you hours figuring things out & breaking bits of trim… plus buying here will save you money, have any issue resolved & support our economy!

Great camera experience
I bought one of these reversing camera kits for my Volvo XC60. I do a fair bit of diy, but had never removed internal car trims. The camera kit supplied is easy to fit if you can follow instructions and research how to take the internal trims off. I bought some trim removal tools (a 16 piece kit) and found four of these tools were essential really – inexpensive on Ebay. The camera kit is a very high quality wiring harness and the camera has been in use for 10 days. It is really clear and enhances the reversing experience greatly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the kit. I phoned the support line once to clarify a point and found no problems in getting through. Help was professional and focused. An all round good exoperience, thanks.
