Description
This is our Reversing Camera kit for the Ford Fiesta from 2018 onwards. To check if you have Sync3 onscreen press Settings-General-About and the software page will be displayed. Sync3 will say Sync3 and a software version ( the version is irrelevant ). If you only see a software page with software beginning with the letter F or R then you have the newer Sync2.5 that this kit will NOT Fit ! ( Please see our other listing for the Sync 2.5 kit ) This plug & play kit comes with a T harness loom that will plug into the Sync unit behind the instrument cluster. Our low voltage NTSC camera supplied with the kit will replace your existing tailgate handle – which will look like it was a factory fitted option. One single wire is required to be connected to either the reverse light or an ignition switch live. Once fitted simply plug the supplied programmer into the cars OBD port under the drivers side of the dashboard and it will automatically code the Sync unit to activate the rear camera. This will display the camera menu in the settings screen – giving you the option of only having the camera in reverse gear or having a delay option, which will keep the camera image onscreen until the car reaches 15 mph. The kit will NOT provide ‘Moving Guidelines’ however our camera has a ‘Fixed Guidelines’ option that is easily removed or added via a small plug on the wiring. If Factory Parking Sensors are installed then they will show on the top right corner of the screen. Once you have used the kits programmer it is of no use and you are welcome to return it to us via a tracked courier or Royal Mail. Once we have received it, we will credit you £40 back to your Payment account. Really impressed with this camera – feels just like a Ford OEM system. Missing the guide lines, but I would rather not have them anyway. Instructions were very clear, but super helpful fitting video on YouTube worth a watch. You will need trim removal tools, some cable ties, and some torx screwdriver heads. I had a mini ratchet which was very helpful removing screws around the clocks. Just make sure you test before you put the dash back in. I had a lose connection, quick fix with the dash still out. The hardest part for me was removing the connector from the old boot handle. Not sure why my one was so hard to remove! That said all done in under two hours. Amazing image just shows the very rear of the car perfectly. Plus you get £40 for returning the programmer. Honestly a very do-able DIY job. 😎

Just installed this myself on a 2018 Fiesta – Very Impressed with the Camera/Loom/Programmer Bundle and Excellent Service from Empirical In Car Install!
The instructions included are ok but followed the video of a customer installing one on YouTube which made it pretty easy.
The intergrates in to the boot handle and looks/works as if was OEM. Video quality is good even at night around town and there is a good field of view.
No guidelines on the camera screen but given the value for money and ease of fitment vs other kits this is a small price to pay (other companies offering guidelines but some needing camera wiring in to power, more expensive, no programmer, no instructions etc)

Great product !
I’m impressed with this camera – it looks just like the Ford one ( it’s barely visible from outside the vehicle ). I installed this in my 2018 Fiesta in a couple of hours – it was a bit intimidating but the instructions were clear and there’s also some YouTube videos that go through how to do it. The video quality is good and it works reliably. When I returned the programming tool, the cost of the tool was returned to me after only a day – very quick. I didn’t need any support, but it sounds like the company provide good support. The product comes well packaged and arrived quickly.
My only suggestions for improvement would be to clarify that there are no trim removal tools included ( thankfully I already had some ) and that it’s a shame it doesn’t have guide-lines for reversing.
Overall though, I’m really impressed and I’d buy it again!

Bought this kit recently for my Fiesta Titanium 2018. My other half fitted it over the weekend in his spare time and I helped. It was actually interesting to see and help out with the kits installation to my car. works great as if it came with the car from new. Once everything is back together it looks and works amazingly – Fantastic Kit and Company, Had to phone about a tech question regarding screen settings due to a mode I had set my in car screen to. The chap on the tech support line was very helpful and sorted out issue in seconds, talking us through how to put it right – GREAT SERVICE.

An almost perfect quality camera
Good product. Integrates perfectly with my vehicle ( Fiesta Active 2018 ) like an OEM part. We only regret that the camera does not display the guide lines on the image. The assembly instructions are not very detailed. You have to be a good handyman if you want to do the assembly yourself but it is achievable. The result is perfect. The price is high but no unpleasant surprise : it’s quality and it works. The service is serious: Fast Delivery and well presented package. I recommend.

As I checked your other items, I could not find any reviews, so i was a bit sketchy about buying from this website. But Glad I did. The camera. I Like the product very much, easy install, comes with a manual, so nothing goes wrong. Maybe in the manual, make points, and insert the photos to each point, its easier to get to where you are in the process. It takes around an hour to install, if you Like me, have a little experience with cars, and Zero experience in Fiesta 2018. I really love the camera, good quality, and camera keeps up the speed, No bumpy pictures on camera, its smooth.
About the Price, if it was a bit cheeper, maybe more people Will buy it, i recommended this for my friend who has this car also, he was excited about it until the Price came up. Thats also what kept me a bit back, from buying. All in all, i Like the camera, no regrets. HAPPY
