Description
This is our Reversing Camera Kit for the Porsche Boxster, 718 Cayman, Cayenne and 911, with PCM 4.0. This fully comprehensive kit consists of a plug and play interface ( with no coding required ) for fitting at the rear of the PCM 4.0 unit in the centre of the dashboard and comes with an extra extension LVDS cable ( so that the original plug in the unit does not need to be routed out of the existing loom and back to the interface ) Integrating onto the cars original display screen and activated when the reverse gear is engaged. The kit will give you the ‘Dynamic Parking Guidelines’ that move with the steering and show the projected trajectory of the vehicle. The kit will also show the parking sensors via the icon on the left side of the vehicles display screen, If your car has no parking sensors then please let us know and we will remove the parking icon using software before dispatching your order. The kit also comes supplied with our Low voltage Wedge Style Camera that fits between the two rear number plate lights ( 20mm hole cutter – Also included ) and for a fully comprehensive fitting guide, we include a USB key – full of Fitting Photos and Information to help you install the kit to your car. Bought this kit for my 991.2 GTS as the original owner never spec’d a camera for one reason or another, and having had reverse cameras in the past find they give some extra reassurance when parking at new locations.
Kit arrived very quickly and was well packaged, the included memory stick was a great help, no text to accompany the pictures but they helped point me in the right direction and made more sense once I was actually in the car with parts removed.
Connecting to the PCM was very simple, nothing showed on screen to start with but a change of gear and an on/off of the ignition and all kicked in.
All in all it took 5hrs to fit but that was taking it very slowly to ensure I did not break any clips, and included some mid fitment YouTube research to find the 6 hidden screws holding the rear bumper on (which was made even harder as I have centre locks so getting to them was very tight as I could not remove my wheels) and spending and age deciding on cable routing, if I did again I suspect it would be just over half that.
Kit seems decent quality, price is excellent, a happy customer.

I bought the Kit and fitted it myself. I exchanged one WhatsApp message which was replied to almost straight away. Before buying it I had looked at a lot of YouTube videos. Centre console dismantling ( look for PCM videos) Air filter replacement videos show you how to remove the trim to get from the Cabin to the Boot. Rear light removal. Then you have the USB stick with images. Get a decent set of trim removal tools and take your time. By the time you have finished you will have a fully functioning Reversing Camera and you will have learned a lot about your car. Well worth it.

Fantastic kit, professionally fitted by Douglas in my 718 Boxster. Looks OEM and functions in exactly the same way – reverse camera comes on when reverse is selected, guidelines shown over picture etc. Excellent modification to the car – so much better than trying to look through a fabric roof!!! Highly recommended!
